Our Story

Finding Our Forever Love

How it all started...

Picture of How it all started...

It all began with a simple yet serendipitous connection on the Facebook Dating app. Camille made a playful mention of baking the best chocolate chip cookies in her bio, and Keaka chimed in, saying that their Myers-Briggs types were a perfect match. From there, a spark was lit, and our journey began.

Our first date was low-key yet special — we grabbed smoothies at Keva’s in Bountiful. Later that month, we met up with friends and kids at Lagoon, which made for the perfect mix of fun and laughter. Keaka left for a vacation with his friend to Universal Studios Orlando, but we stayed connected, texting often, and getting to know each other more deeply.

Our relationship grew slowly, carefully, and with intention. We took the time to truly communicate, building a strong foundation based on trust, respect, and mutual understanding. We got down to business and asked the hard questions right away. It was even before our first kiss that we decided to be exclusive, knowing we were both on the same page with marriage as our ultimate goal.

Early on, we talked openly and honestly about what we envisioned for our future together. We made it a priority to focus on our mental, emotional, and physical health, supporting each other as we worked through past traumas and growing stronger individually and as a couple. And before we knew it, we found ourselves ring shopping — a natural next step in our journey together.

We had planned a special trip to Las Vegas, a chance to meet family and enjoy some time together. Before the trip, Keaka made sure to get the blessing of Camille's three oldest kids, ensuring that we were all on the same page as we took this next step together.

Having prioritized date nights already, going out to a romantic dinner was no surprise. The evening was filled with love and excitement, but the real magic happened afterwards. We headed to the top of the High Roller, where the city lights sparkled below us. Surrounded by the vast beauty of the night, Keaka popped the question. And, Camille said yes!
